FAQ

FAQs

DO WE NEED TO FILL IN A BOOKING FORM?

No, just drop me an email with your contact details, the date and location of your wedding, and package that you'd like to go for. I'll send you a quote and arrange a time to call you so that we can go over all of the details.

CAN WE REQUEST LIVE SONGS?

Of course! I will be happy to learn up to 4 new songs for you to perform for your ceremony / first dance. I will usually need at least a few weeks' notice to learn and prepare them so the sooner you can let me know the better!

WHAT ABOUT DJ REQUESTS?

Because I mix tracks live, I have to have songs in my catalogue in advance, I can't just stream them. So, if there are particular songs that you or your guests would love to hear, please let me know well in advance so that I can buy them and have them ready for you.

I do have a huge library of music though, so I'm happy to take requests from guests on the day and chances are I'll have what they're after.

DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU?

Yes please :) It's a long day and I work pretty much non stop to make sure there's always music playing and everything is running smoothly. So I'm going to need to re-fuel at some point! Vegan food and water please 🙏

WHAT DO YOU NEED IN TERMS OF POWER?

I just need a socket that I can access fairly close to wherever I'm set up. I run a pretty substantial sound and lighting rig for my DJ/party sets. So to ensure that the power doesn't trip, please make sure that I'm not on the same circuit as other high power equipment such as bouncy castles, bucking broncos etc.

HOW LONG WILL YOU NEED TO SET UP?

It depends which package you've booked. If it's an acoustic set with a basic DJ service, then I like to allow an hour to load in, set up, soundcheck. That gives me a little breathing room if any surprises pop up. For the full DJ Party set up it's best to allow 90mins, more if I need to set up multiple systems in different places (such as outside for the champagne reception and inside for the evening do.)

WHAT TIME DO YOU START AND FINISH?

That's up to you. My standard start and end times for a full day are 12 midday - 12 midnight (not including set up / pack down). Drinks Receptions are 1pm - 4pm, Wedding Breakfasts are 4pm-7pm and Evening Packages are 7pm-11pm or 8pm - 12 midnight.

Early starts and late finishes can be added, they'll just cost extra.

DO YOU BRING ALL YOUR OWN EQUIPMENT?

Yes, all sound equipment and for DJ Party sets lighting equipment too. The only thing I don't provide is a stage. I generally don't need one. However, if the ground is unstable you may need to provide one.

CAN YOU PERFORM OUTSIDE?

Yes, and I often do! Things to bear in mind... Firstly, I'll still need access to a power socket, unless it's small gathering where I can perform unamplified or using a battery amp. Secondly, the venue needs to have a licence for live music outside. And finally, it's best to have some kind of gazebo/shelter to hand in case the weather turns. My equipment cannot be outside in the rain, damp or hot sun.
